I’m a 21 year old student at Kent State University that wants to make an impact on the world. At the very moment this is being typed I should be writing a Sociology paper. You’ll notice that I’m not – it happens. I’m a Sociology major with minors in Philosophy and Women’s Studies. Biomedical Ethics is my one true passion and I *will* go to graduate school for the study of said passion no matter how much the math section of the GRE is going to kick my ass. I’m graduating from Kent in August ’07 – and according to Dr. Barnbaum I'm “not yet ready to leave the college environment.” She’s not wrong. It’s just a matter of deciding on the next step.

I’m a liberal, I vote Democrat and no, not because I’m young and inexperienced; thanks all the same for your concern. I think Socialism is worth looking into, I think Iraq is worth getting out of. We should leave North Korea alone – if I were them I’d want nukes too. I’ve sort of failed at being a feminist – but that doesn’t mean I’m not trying. I’m pro-choice and anti-death penalty…it *can* be done. Despite everything I love the Clinton Family and the French.




My parents are nondenominational Christians – I spent 3 years claiming to be agnostic – and currently am studying to convert to Reform Judaism. I’ve never been more spiritually content. My Star of David necklace serves as a reminder to conduct myself in a respectable manner...it also, apparently, angers my Philosophy Professor. Oh well, you can’t please everyone.


My vices include: Medical TV Shows (House M.D., ER, Grey’s Anatomy), Music (of any type except Jazz) and Figure Skating (Sasha Cohen, Emily Hughes, Belbin & Agusto). I love having random conversations. I have a(n) (EXTREMELY) soft spot for the academic mind. Apparently the best way to win me over is a philosophical discussion of the differences between Deontology and Utilitarianism. *Shrug* I believe laughter can get us through anything. I think sometimes life is taken too seriously, at other times not seriously enough. I know from experience that even the most amazing people any of us will ever encounter are just humans like everyone else. I’m a lesbian and I refuse to deny it anymore – it doesn’t define me, it just is what it is.





I’m obsessive, I probably have OCD. I’ve been called a stalker – my camera phone makes for good times. I tend to over exaggerate…A LOT. I hate rain – especially when my first class of the day is a 10 minute walk from the parking lot and you have to take a small raft to get across Summit Street. I try not to be judgmental, but I completely agree with Tori – Just because you can put it on, doesn’t mean you should wear it. I seem to always have a crush on someone twice my age that has 3 times my education…it’s just one of those things. I hate reality TV. I have a quote book of “live quotes” from everyday life that is much more hilarious than anything a comedian could ever dream up. Life is a bunch of crazy ups and downs…and I’m just one more kid trying to make it through in one piece.
